PMSight`s project and portfolio management forum (PPMF) is hosting three Webcasts next week, detailing the benefits of application portfolio management to enterprise.
PMSight director Paul Viviers says Webcasts are commonly used in the US to communicate with current and potential customers, but the company believes this is the first time the technology will be used in this way locally.
According to Viviers, PMSight decided to pioneer the Webcast marketing channel in the local market because of its success in the US in reaching large numbers of CIOs and other enterprise decision-makers without them having to leave their companies.
Viviers says Webcasts are an efficient way of providing real-time interactive information sharing sessions to potentially large audience in several different locations at the same time.
"Until now, local customers have had to make do with US-oriented content and fit in with US schedules at awkward times of the day," says Daleen Strydom, consulting head for PMSight.
Strydom points out that participants will benefit from the answers to questions being asked by their peers in the market.
The PPMF Webcasts are open to anyone who registers on the Web site to book a place and subsequently downloads the necessary software client.
With the presentation being delivered via the Web and audio sent using an ordinary phone connection, Viviers concedes the initial offering is best suited to access from the corporate environment that can provide the necessary communication channels and bandwidth.
Although an unlimited number of people can be reached using Webcasts, Viviers says next week`s sessions on 24, 26 and 28 July will be limited to 14 participants each.
