A support agreement has recently been completed between Websoft Maven and Software Solution Partners (SSP) in the UK. SSP currently markets the Insight system in the Northern Hemisphere and, in addition to marketing Insight, SSP runs a very successful bureau operation under the name Key Choice where it services in excess of 500 brokers. In total, SSP services in excess of 2000 brokers.
The support agreement will benefit both Websoft Maven and Software Solution Partners, in the event that either party needs additional or specialised staff, and supplements the augmented resources created through the merger of Websoft and Maven Technologies, to form the Websoft Maven group.
"Both the merger and support agreement give cause for cautioned optimism in the face of tough trading conditions experienced locally and internationally, and reflect the benefits of strategic positioning, tight management and product development," says Websoft Maven`s marketing and sales director, Peter Roberts.
Currently, the combined group`s systems are responsible for administering some R3 billion worth of premiums, or about 18% of the total `traditional` underwriting market. The company`s flagship `INSight` policy administration system has been successfully rolled out in Egypt, Bahrain, England and Ireland - through the support agreement with SSP - and in sub-Saharan Africa in Namibia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe as well as in numerous South African sites.
On 29 March 2002 Software Solution Partners Limited, a new company managed by David Rasche, Lawrence Walker and Nick Bate completed the purchase of the CSC Intermediary Insurance Division. From that date, SSP assumed responsibility for the future sale, distribution and support of the majority of broker-packaged, point-of-sale and administration software products, inheriting existing contractural relationships with all affected customers.
The name of the company - Software Solutions Partners - was chosen to purposefully define the nature and style of the business.
It is particularly important that SSP partners with everyone involved in the broker and intermediary channels, and SSP aims to improve efficiencies and reduce costs for all parties. SSP aims to move decisively towards a much-improved business and, overall, adopt an open and co-operative style to growing its business. SSP is passionate about providing high service-levels, and take steps to ensure customers receive the level of service they expect and can afford. To achieve this, SSP listens closely to market and customer needs.
