AfriBiz`s MD K Le Roux has announced new weekend courses.
"We wish to announce our new weekend Linux course schedules and our joint venture with Cubit SA in becoming the first integrator of the world`s first full-featured commercial open source financial software which was designed and produced in SA," he says.
AfriBiz will now also provide training over weekends to fill the gap for students that do not have enough time to attend a week course. Employers will also be able to have their staff trained in Linux, without losing productivity.
We realise that in the IT world, time is an important factor, and it can become difficult to have technical staff away from their work for five days. We are running both the Linux 101 and Linux 102 courses over a two-weekend period. Our first weekend course was done earlier this month and was a huge success.
The next weekend Linux 101 course will be held in Rosebank on 8, 9, 15 and 16 November. We have added an additional hour per day to allow students to complete the course in four days. Students have a week gap between the four days and this allows them to prepare for a whole week. They can come back with questions they normally would not have as they did not have this additional time.
Le Roux concludes: "Due to our involvement with Cubit, many of our students would be able to obtain paying work immediately as there is a shortage of Cubit installers and trainers country-wide. We will soon release details of the joint venture with Linux SA (Pty) Ltd, which will add further nationwide offices to best serve our fast-growing client base."
