We'll take accreditation for that

Johannesburg, 20 Jul 2011

Microsoft has made a major change to its partner programme, and the criteria by which partners are ranked. New Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) accreditations have been introduced, as well as new partner logos.

FlowCentric Technologies is proud to announce that it has recertified according to Microsoft's new requirements, earning a Silver competency in portals and collaboration, and a Gold competency as an independent software vendor (ISV).

What is the significance of this?

The previous Gold Partner status, which reflected an overall capability, has been replaced with accreditations in certain areas of expertise, with either gold or silver levels.

This new approach allows Microsoft partners to clearly define their business capabilities and the areas in which they specialise. The new criteria required to obtain either gold or silver competencies are more stringent. It is believed that Microsoft anticipates this will permit only those partners that are more skilled and more successful to reach its gold status.

“I believe that by including a licensing assessment and a sales and marketing assessment, Microsoft ensures that the quality and validity of the competencies is maintained and that partners have sufficient knowledge and the means to optimally support their customers,” says Janine Mason, Partner Account Manager at FlowCentric Technologies.

Obtaining both a Microsoft gold and silver competency sets FlowCentric Technologies apart from the competition by demonstrating a specific, proven skill set to its customers. Because Microsoft competencies are aligned with customer procurement trends, consumers can easily identify a Microsoft partner's proficiencies.

Earning a silver competency, as FlowCentric Technologies has in portals and collaboration, places the organisation among the top 5% of Microsoft partners worldwide, while earning a gold competency as an ISV places FlowCentric Technologies among the 1% of Microsoft partners worldwide that have attained this outstanding degree of proficiency.

“Attaining gold and silver certifications in the new Microsoft Partner Programme is evidence of our commitment to excellence, allowing us to clearly promote our expertise to customers,” says Gerhard van der Merwe, Customer Relationship Manager at FlowCentric Technologies.
