Datatec`s global channel provider of networking technology products, Westcon today announced that its Brazil office has closed a commercial agreement with Internet Security Systems (ISS).
ISS manufactures security applications for systems and is a leader in intrusion detection and risks/vulnerability assessment solutions.
Westcon now sells the entire ISS product line in Brazil, via its resellers and integration channels - including vulnerability and intrusion detection and decision support systems, in network, servers and desktop environments.
Under the agreement, Westcon has extended its portfolio of security solutions, which includes products from leaders in their segments, such as Check Point and Nokia.
Says Helio Guimar~aes, marketing and business development manager for Westcon Brazil: "With this new line of products, Westcon now offers complete security solutions, combining the products of market leaders in firewalls, appliances and intrusion detection systems."
Says Claudio Kalim, channel manager for ISS: "We are investing in selling products via established channels to expand our operation in Brazil. Westcon Brazil has the infrastructure we require: a consolidated channel infrastructure and expertise and recognition in the security products market."
ISS has a wide range of products and services:
* Network protection systems
* Server protection systems
* Desktop protection systems
* Management and decision support systems, from risk assessment to emergency support services
