Westcon-Comstor appoints services business development manager

Westcon-Comstor has appointed Pieter Terblanche as the services business development manager.
Westcon-Comstor has appointed Pieter Terblanche as the services business development manager.

Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa has appointed Pieter Terblanche as its first services business development manager.

Terblanche will report to services solutions director, Heinz Stephan.

According to Terblanche, the role has been created by Westcon-Comstor to continue the current growth in the services solutions business.

His immediate goals are to make sure the company continues to grow current services solutions business as well as to enhance current services offerings by adding and identifying new opportunities and then taking them to market.

The company says Westcon-Comstor services solutions team will act as an extension of reseller and partner teams providing the third party support needed to enable business growth through training, marketing and technical support.

There is a lot of competition out there for Westcon-Comstor partners, so they need to create differentiators for themselves, says Terblanche. They need to be able to identify and enter the right markets with the right services, he continues.

Terblanche says in his new position he will be giving attention to improving the offerings of partners as well as helping to grow their brands.

"Remember that in today's climate, services count more than product, so if services are professional and do what they promise, then your brand will naturally grow."

According to Westcon-Comstor, Terblanche has more than 15 years' experience in sales, marketing, management and advertising.

His outstanding achievements include running his own business for six years, as well as opening eight franchises countrywide and maintaining them.

He also established links across Africa with independent sales consultants to market and advertise his products, while managing almost 100 consultants across SA, excluding franchises and their staff members, says Westcon-Comstor.

"We are happy to welcome Pieter to the services solutions team," says Stephan.

His extensive sales experience means that he has the ability to grow the company's portfolio while also maintaining the strong bond it has with existing customers, he adds.
