Datatec`s networking technology products provider, Westcon, has secured a distribution agreement with data integrity assurance company Tripwire.
Westcon is to distribute Tripwire`s entire line of products - including Tripwire for Servers, Tripwire Manager and Tripwire for Network Devices - in North America.
Datatec executive director David Pfaff says the agreement represents a further step in implementing the group`s strategy of entering and growing critical market niches where margins tend to be stronger.
He adds that Tripwire is a unique addition in Westcon`s product line-up, as its products primarily focus on system auditing, change management, damage recovery, data forensics as well as intrusion detection.
The company`s products complement the distributor`s existing firewall and virtual private network solutions by adding robust security monitoring and reporting features, Pfaff says.
"Our partnership with Tripwire further enhances our customers` ability to gain a competitive-edge. Solution providers are looking for data integrity assurance applications and solutions to differentiate and extend their security offering," says Westcon president and CEO Alan Marc Smith.
