Westcon Security Solutions appointed Cisco Physical Security partner

Westcon Security Solutions is, as part of a global first, now able to offer its reseller market access to the Cisco Physical Security portfolio with immediate effect.

The Cisco Physical Security solution set will afford Westcon Security Solutions' resellers the opportunity to offer their clients access to cost-effective, modular, best-in-class physical security solutions that interoperate with their existing systems.

"The Cisco Physical Security portfolio melds perfectly with that of Westcon Security Solutions' Electronic division existing portfolio, providing our partners with category leading solutions for their physical security needs," states Bernard Senekal, managing director at Westcon Security Solutions - Electronic division.

The Cisco Physical Security Solutions are made up of video surveillance, access control, and incident response and notification technologies. The portfolio is touted as being easy to deploy, use and maintain, and integrates seamlessly with a client's existing Cisco IP network.

The technologies support open standards, and to this end, will enable resellers to assist their customers in protecting their existing investments as they migrate their businesses.
