WestconGroup in Southern Africa, the leading value-added global distributor of security, unified communications, network infrastructure and data centre solutions, has announced that customers in Mpumalanga can look forward to local service, with the opening of an office in Nelspruit.
Mpumalanga continues to thrive as a province, both economically and from a social development position. The province is considered SA's corridor between Mozambique and Swaziland and houses over 10% of the country's population. Moreover, Mpumalanga boasts flourishing mining, agriculture and tourism sectors to name a few.
The new Nelspruit offices will seek to service customers throughout the province through the provision of access to more than 50 vendor products across its seven divisions including: Comstor (WestconGroup's Cisco-dedicated business); Unified Communications and Collaboration Solutions; Consumer Solutions; Mobility Solutions; Data and Electronic Security Solutions and Cloud and Software Solutions business practices, as well as its Services business.
"Our reseller partners in Mpumalanga have expressed a need for a more local presence from WestconGroup. They need the support of our internal skills in order to better service their own customers, as well as provide a full view of the vendor and services portfolio we have to offer," states Uwe Brandkamp, Sales Director at WestconGroup in Southern Africa. "It is with this that we have answered this need by announcing our satellite office in the region as well as the appointment of two key personnel in the province."
The Mpumalanga team is made up of Lenet van der Merwe as well as Brian Hyson in the capacity of regional representatives - Mpumalanga at WestconGroup in Southern Africa. Both possess extensive knowledge of the region and businesses throughout Nelspruit and the province as a whole. Brandkamp says he is delighted to have the support of a knowledgeable team who not only know the customers in the area, but are also well versed in technologies and the ICT industry in general.
Key areas the company is hoping to assist customers with include security, infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, software, services and more as well as in the growing industries of mining, agriculture, tourism and government. Reseller partners in the area will now be able to look forward to tailor-made customer events, technology bootcamps and direct access to the WestconGroup product managers who will be paying the office regular visits, to name a few.
