
White House drives social collaboration
The Whitehouse.gov site is now running the open source Drupal content management system, which includes social networking tools used for government collaboration, reports InformationWeek.
The Obama administration says it plans to build more collaboration features into WhiteHouse.gov.
Drupal creator Dries Buytaert says: "Drupal gives them a traditional content management system combined with social features, which enables open communication and participation, which aligns very well with the goals of the Obama administration."
Motorola unveils video content management
Motorola has rolled out its content management software for managing video content across TVs, PCs and mobile devices, states CED Magazine.
Motorola's 'communications convergence engine enhanced asset management system' (CCE EAMS) enables video service providers to scale their Internet user-generated content video.
Alan Lefkof, corporate vice-president and GM of Motorola Broadband Home Gateways and Software Solutions Group, says: “Motorola's CCE EAMS platform is a critical solution for realising multi-screen on-demand services.”
Sitecore rolls out CMS 6.2
Sitecore has released the latest version of its Web content management system called CMS 6.2, says CMS Wire.
Among the new features in version 6.2 are RSS feeds for workflows, Microsoft Outlook integration for workflow notifications, Web forms and some asset upload functionality using WebDav.
Sitecore CMS 6.2 Web has tools which content editors can use to build forms and utilise reports to track and monitor conversion goals and user behaviour for usability analysis and optimisation.
