Wii short on storage
Nintendo has admitted that the owners of their Wii gaming console face storage related problems as the console gets more and more downloadable content, says Tech Whack.
The company has promised that they are looking into developing a solution and it would be out in the future.
Nintendo Wii comes with 512MB of internal flash memory. Rival consoles come with hard drive options which give them much more storage capacity.
AddictingGames hosts awards
AddictingGames, a popular Flash game portal, plans to hold a large-scale awards show pertaining to casual games, says Washington Post.
The show will take place in 2009, with a series of voting rounds conducted on the site that will allow AddictingGames' users to decide the final outcome (though judges will have some say).
The show will be open to any casual game on the Web, but the results will likely be heavily skewed towards games on AddictingGames, since that's where voting will actually take place.
When games attack
G Data malware research shows that cyber criminals have increasingly been targeting gamers over the last twelve months, says PR.com.
The number of malware programs, that steal the passwords and access data for online games, has increased constantly and has long since surpassed the number of banking Trojans.
Also especially dangerous for PC gamers is the downloading of cheats and game add-ons from P2P file sharing services.
