Duxbury Networking, in association with its principal, BreezeCOM, has released BreezeACCESS, a new IP broadband wireless local loop (IP B-WLL) data and voice solution targeted at VPNs and ISPs.
BreezeACCESS is a range of wireless broadband and wideband IP access services, including high-speed Internet access, extranet/VPN and quality telephony.
"BreezeACCESS will enable ISPs and service providers to offer their subscribers high-speed wireless IP connectivity services - including quality telephony services," says Duxbury`s chief technology officer, Graham Vorster.
"It is one of the first B-WLL systems to provide both telephony and high speed Internet access," he says. "It also offers the lowest `first subscriber` infrastructure cost in the industry.
"By using the system, based on BreezeCOM`s wireless packet switch technology, service providers can obtain significant savings in infrastructure costs, as well as scale-up their investments according to the actual needs of their customers without the need for re-wiring."
BreezeACCESS multi-cell architecture provides 18/36/54Mbps scaleable cell capacity, with burst transmission rates of up to 11Mbps per user. Its design provides for echo-free, high-quality voice, simultaneously with high-speed Internet access.
This solution is applicable to both dense urban and dispersed rural areas.
It uses frequency-hopping, spread spectrum radio technology and operates in the licence-free 2.4GHz ISM (industrial, scientific and medical) and the licensed 3.2-3.6Ghz WLL bands.
The BreezeACCESS conforms to H.323, the ITU standard for real-time voice and multimedia application over IP.
