While mobile devices that allow for productivity and a global reach are being introduced in the workplace, there are and security threats that cannot be ignored, reports TCMnet.

A new study from the Business Process Management (BPM) Forum, which supports senior executives, reveals that increased use of mobile devices in the workplace are creating all new risks and threats for corporations and exposing them to dangers they are not yet addressing sufficiently.

While mobile devices in the workplace have helped to boost productivity, security above all else is needed. Ensuring regulatory requirements are met and controlling access to mission critical information is necessary.

Australian firm launches BPM tool

Melbourne-based Talgentra, which provides integrated billing and revenue management solutions for utilities, has launched the latest version of Gentrack Velocity, reports Australia's Linux World.

Highlights for utilities include enhanced BPM tools and interface to NEMMCO, new meta data management (MDM) capabilities and extended CRM functionality for prospecting and customer acquisition.

Gentrack is currently used by over 40 utilities around the world. In Australia its customer base includes energy retailers such as Red Energy, Origin Energy, Alinta and ActewAGL, and Aurora Energy.

BPM firm wins Deloitte award

Indian firm Skelta Software, which provides BPM Workflow solutions, has been selected for the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 India 2006; a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in India, reports PR.com.

To determine the fastest growing companies, Deloitte calculated the revenue growth percentage of the companies over the last three years.
