Local IT distributor World Computer Systems (WCS) has expanded its operation by opening a new office in Midrand. WCS is fast expanding its business throughout the country and is recognised as one of the fastest growing IT distributors in SA.
According to WCS managing director Mohammad Denath, WCS has come along way since it was established nearly 10 years ago in the Pick 'n Pay centre in Boksburg.
"WCS has grown to be the largest, most powerful computer distributor in the East Rand. With branches now in Midrand, Sandton, Boksburg and Nelspruit, we intend to expand our footprint to all other major centres across the country in the near future."
Denath says increased market share is the reason for opening a branch in Midrand. "As soon as clients got to know about the new offices, we were inundated with calls with clients congratulating us and telling us that the branch was long overdue. We have also had new clients saying they can now move most of their business to us."
WCS believes its unique strategy when approaching the industry is the reason for its success.
"We have clients who prefer our way of doing business, our product, pricing and service. Although WCS is considered to be a major player in this market, it has opted to sell through a channel and not directly to the public," he concludes.
