HR Computek today announced the launch of the NetPro suite of network management solutions within South Africa during 21 to 24 August 2006 at venues nationwide.
HR Computek is already well-established as a world-class provider of ICT solutions, particularly in the public sector.
"We are passionate about IT innovation!" says Harry Chakala, CEO of HR Computek. "We have partnered with NetPro to further enhance our world-class infrastructure solution offerings for which we are known. We`re excited to introduce NetPro to South Africa!"
This announcement coincides with the visit to South Africa of JP Jauvin, vice-president of NetPro, USA, later this month. During Jauvin`s visit, NetPro`s solutions will be launched at a special public sector launch in Pretoria on 22 August. The aim is to ensure government decision-makers are aware of the key issues around network infrastructure management and how NetPro solutions will ensure the health and availability of government`s systems.
"HR Computek has conducted proofs-of-concept at several government sites. We are pleased with the outcomes of these case studies and trust NetPro will enable us to deliver excellent infrastructure management solutions to government," says Dr Alan Donly, Executive of Marketing and Business Development at HR Computek.
NetPro, Microsoft support local Active Directory professionals
NetPro teams with Microsoft worldwide to sponsor the NetPro Active Directory Strategy Group. Membership to this forum is free and provides opportunities for technical staff involved in designing, implementing and maintaining Active Directory to share best practices and troubleshoot problems.
These groups will be launched in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town during the week of 21 to 24 August by a team comprising industry specialists from NetPro, HR Computek and Microsoft South Africa.
Garth Luke, Business Manager of NetPro at HR Computek, is enthusiastic about the launch. "The response to this initiative has been overwhelming! Microsoft`s support of the Active Directory community in South Africa through this forum has been incredible. We want to provide a really top-class support service!"
NetPro monitors the core of Microsoft networks
Active Directory is widely deployed as the heart of Microsoft-based network installations. It is the core directory service for Microsoft Windows operating systems. Forrester Research survey data published in 2005 showed that a staggering 92% of billion-dollar-plus companies will be using Active Directory by 2006. In 2005, Gartner`s recommended best practices for Active Directory installations include implementation of a tool such as NetPro to enhance an organisation`s ability to monitor the health of their Active Directory.
NetPro is the only vendor specialising in delivering best-of-breed distributed infrastructure management solutions whose offerings fully cover the health, security and control of Active Directory environments. NetPro released the first tools for management of Active Directory in 1998. With more than 15 years of experience in the management of distributed infrastructure services, NetPro has established itself as the undisputed world-leader in the development of Windows Active Directory and Novell e-Directory management tools.
Earlier this year, NetPro`s products were awarded Windows Product of the Year by leading industry media outlets TechTarget and SearchWin2000.com.
"Our solutions are market leaders, setting the Gold Standard in the Active Directory market by providing greater depth, breadth and intelligence than any other management solution for Active Directory," said Kevin Hickey, NetPro President and CEO. "We`re honoured to have not one, but two of our solutions recognised for their exceptional innovation and value to the marketplace."
