The use of Flash Memory for cell phones, MP3 players and digital cameras has just become much easier with the introduction of ZMATE, the world`s smallest Flash Memory Card reader/writer, available from local distributor Axiz.
This tiny reader/writer from US-based Dane-Elec, not much bigger than a flashcard, is also available for use with CompactFlash, SmartMedia, MultiMedia cards, and IBM Microdrive. "ZMATE simply plugs into a USB port and allows photos, music, video and database files to be transferred to and from the Flash Memory card via the PC or Mac," says Patrick Reeves, mobile products manager at Axiz. "It is the perfect solution for transferring data between a PC or Mac and any Digital Data device which uses removable Flash Memory Card technology -portable MP3 music players, cell phones, video and still digital cameras and PDAs."
ZMATE works independently - it does not tie up the Digital Data device during data transfer nor does it use valuable battery power. It is very easy to use, by simply inserting the Flash Memory Card into ZMATE and plugging ZMATE into the USB port on a notebook or desktop computer. The computer will instantly recognize ZMATE allowing quick and easy data transfer to and from the card.
"This product makes the transfer of digital music files such as MP3, RealAudio and Windows Media (WMA) between a music player and ZMATE easy by dragging and dropping files," says Reeves. "This instant data exchange does not require the music player to be connected to your notebook or desktop, nor does it use valuable battery power." Another valuable application is for the transfer of contact information and other data, such as eBooks, between a cell phone or PDA and a notebook, allowing the user to save valuable cell phone battery life and transfer data fast.
ZMATE requires Windows (R)98/2000, Mac OS 8.5 or higher, and an available USB Port to operate.
