Wrike enhances PM software

Wrike's new workload view brings employees' schedules together, thus giving a clear picture of how assignments are distributed between colleagues.

Information Week says overlapping assignments on an employee's schedule are highlighted so managers can quickly see and resolve the conflict by rescheduling tasks, changing their duration, or reassigning by dragging and dropping them on the workload view chart.

Managers can also dispense unassigned tasks from the timeline; the software immediately notifies employees via e-mail and the Wrike Activity Stream.

In Wrike's new resource management feature, teams react to changes quicker and have their efforts balanced, while each of the employees doesn't get stressed with work overload, Chron.com notes.

“As a design firm that is constantly multitasking between 30 to 40 open projects, we needed a 'just in time' snapshot of where we stood with design, drafting and project support scheduling to see who was available and when,” says Ivan Weiss, executive VP at Studio e Design Group.
