Wyse responds to customer requests, Rapport management software now manages thin clients from competitor Neoware

Comprehensive capabilities and enterprise scalability available for the first time to Neoware customers

IT Wise the local distributor for Wyse Technology, the domain experts in server-centric computing (SCC), announced that its Wyse Rapport software now manages Linux-based thin clients from Neoware Systems, Inc. With this announcement Wyse further extends the number of platforms and devices that are managed by Wyse`s industry-leading enterprise management platform. The Wyse Rapport V4 agent for Neoware Linux-based thin clients gives Neoware users capabilities and advantages previously unavailable to them and reflects Wyse`s continued support for Linux as a thin-client platform.Wyse Rapport management software can discover and manage a wide range of devices, from desktop and tablet thin clients from Wyse, Neoware, and Hewlett-Packard to Palm and Pocket PC handheld devices, including PDAs, scanners and other mobile devices. With the new Rapport agent for Neoware Linux-based thin clients, customers get the distinct advantages they have been asking for to help them with the management, operation, and security of these thin clients, including improved scalability, asset management, tracking, reporting, better bandwidth optimisation, and increased authentication and encryption capabilities.
