Xerox is giving its digital printing customers access to more accurate and vibrant colours through Pantone`s new Goe colour system.
The system, which took more than four years to develop, comes with more than 2 000 new Pantone colours and works in concert with the original Pantone matching system to deliver exact ways of measuring and communicating colour.
This enables designers and printers to produce precise, lively colours in personalised direct-mail pieces, catalogues, photo books and other marketing collateral.
"Our customers are using the power of digital colour daily to create personalised marketing material and demand the highest quality output for these projects," says Keith Knott, divisional manager of production systems group at Bytes Documents Solutions, sole authorised distributor of Xerox products and solutions to 24 sub-Saharan countries.
"By incorporating the Goe system standard into our offerings, we are making sure that our digital production colour customers are able to consistently and easily produce bright, accurate colour on their presses. The system creates seamless links between hardware and software, designers and print providers, and it encourages the kind of collaboration that will help drive growth in digital colour printing."
The system features colour palettes that resemble colour wheels, making it simple to pick and label the right hue for a job. There is also a palette playground that lets designers experiment with colour choices. "Pantone Goe will push designers and printers to explore new frontiers while giving them a competitive leg-up in today`s challenging and evolving market," says Knott.
