Xerox breaks quality barriers with office colour printing

Xerox today launched its newest office printers, the Xerox Phaser 8200 solid ink colour printer and the Xerox Phaser 6200 colour laser printer, designed to fuel the migration to colour in the office by offering cost and print quality advantages.

The Phaser 8200 and Phaser 6200 use single pass technology, which enables a printer to deposit all colours on paper in one pass, rather than the four passes required by traditional colour laser printers.

The Phaser 8200 has a powerful 300MHz processor that allows for a first page out time of nine seconds, as well as speeds of 16 pages per minute (ppm) in fast colour mode and black-and-white. In addition, the Phaser 8200 provides trouble-free installation and printer management that gives users the simplicity they need. The Phaser 8200 offers office workgroups superior print quality on a variety of media types, including standard office paper, labels and business cards. This solid ink printer uses Phaser 8200 ColorStix Solid Ink with four unique shapes that eliminate loading mistakes. In addition, the Phaser 8200 provides fast, high-quality black-and-white printing.

The Phaser 6200 colour laser printer helps offices produce better work by providing colour print quality and performance at a competitive price. With a 500MHz PowerPC processor and 16ppm speed at full 2400dpi resolution, the Phaser 6200 is ideal for office colour. It has fewer consumables than the typical colour laser printer, and the Phaser 6200 also has a simple paper path that makes printing more reliable.
