Xerox call centre to add 250 jobs
Dallas, Texas-based ACS handles technical support and customer service calls for consumer electronics and technology companies.
It was acquired in February 2010 for $6.4 billion by Norwalk, Connecticut-based Xerox, which has a manufacturing operation in Wilsonville.
ACS says it is expanding its current workforce to “meet increased demand from clients,” reports NBC 17.
The company already employees about 2 300 people in Raleigh and about 3 600 people in the whole of the US.
Positions available at the call centre include agents and supervisors.
ACS is a big player in the call centre outsourcing industry, employing more than 34 000 agents in 150 call centres around the world, says Triangle Business Journal.
ACS handles in excess of one million customer interactions every day in 20 different languages.
