Yealink strengthens Far South Networks ties with perfect IOT results

Yealink has once again scored an impressive 100% pass mark in advanced interoperability tests (IOT) with innovative South African telecommunications equipment vendor, Far South Networks.

Both companies, which share a very similar business philosophy, are now committed to maintaining this positive IOT status into the future, for the benefit of all IP telephony resellers and service providers in southern Africa.

Far South Networks, founded in 2006, designs and manufactures IP PBX and SIP gateway platforms, providing the business user with cost-effective, full-featured and easy-to-use solutions for the converged voice and data market. It offers affordable, 'fuss-free' access to the latest voice and data IP features.

Founded in 2001, Yealink is the top three global leader in reliable, quality, easy-to-install and low-cost innovative IP phones.

In May 2011, Far South Networks completed its first successful IOT with the IP phones then available from Yealink. This was carried out between Com.X software release 1.2 and the Yealink T18P, T20P, T22P and T28P range. Technical progress has continued since then, resulting in the most recent tests.

During 2013, both Yealink and Far South Networks have announced important new developments. Earlier this year, Yealink released its new 'M7' firmware V70 and V71 - known as the 'unified auto-provisioning template' - which offers unified configuration files and deployment methods for Yealink's full range of IP devices, including the T2X, T3X, T4X, W52P and VP530.

Meanwhile, in June 2013, Far South Networks launched its new software release for Com.X, revision 1.3, for all Com.X platforms, which now provides a flexible and powerful "3-in-One" feature package, supporting feature set migration from SIP gateway to in-the-box, on-site PBX or an IP Centrex-based service delivery.

This latest Com.X software revision was modified and enhanced to support all Yealink V70 and V71 devices. Comprehensive test results have now revealed an absolutely perfect performance by Yealink.

Far South Networks products are designed and manufactured in South Africa, for South African conditions, using open standards and open architectures.

Today, customers from more than 140 countries rely routinely on Yealink as a backbone for global IP integration to extend the value of modern network communications.
