The company made headlines last year with the acquisition of the Yournet client base, and again later that same year with the incorporation of rebel internet company Rumba (www.rumba.co.za).
Zazu released the statement in the wake of a Telkom announcement that it intends to bill per gigabyte for all ADSL traffic from November this year.
The New Zazu Internet (www.zazu.co.za) and Rumba offer is brought to the market at R149.00/month for 1Gigabyte ADSL.
That means that together with a DSL192 line from Telkom at R270.00/month the total subscriber bill will come to: R419.00/month.
The service is aimed at replacing traditional dial-up services. The subscriber pays a fixed monthly fee for a Faster, Always-on internet service with no surprises in the monthly billing.
New subscribers who sign up before 31 October will get an additional 5GB of traffic per month free until the new Telkom tariffs become effective on 1 November.
