Zensar forms retail unit
Zensar Technologies has set up a technology and process solutions unit that will focus on the global retail and distribution sector to lead the company's charge to build a $100 million business globally by 2010, states Business Standard.
Zensar has also signed a multimillion-dollar integrated IT-BPO deal with one of the largest consumer packaged goods sales and marketing firms in North America.
Zensar has signed three similar contracts with marquee retailers in Europe in the last few months. It, however, did not disclose the names of the clients or the aggregate volume of business secured.
Eco-Chic uses Retail Anywhere
Retail Anywhere announced that Eco-Chic, a resale retailer, has installed its POS and enterprise management solutions to help the retailer better manage its extensive inventory while ensuring improved customer service, says Retail Solutions.
Eco-Chic's top priorities were to improve data quality and inventory management while providing its customers with a quick and accurate transaction process.
"Retail Anywhere has been able to meet our requirements in all areas while delivering a system that is very user-friendly, requiring minimal training time for our employees," said Ann Siner, owner and CEO of Eco-Chic.
Vista Paint selects Fullerton
Fullerton has signed a contract with Vista Paint to upgrade its current services to an AT&T Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution, according to Pr Domain.
Under terms of the two-year agreement, Vista Paint will upgrade its current Internet Protocol-enabled Frame Relay services to a new AT&T VPN solution, which will provide continuity performance and the ability to maintain the prioritisation of data traffic across the network.
The AT&T solution will connect Vista Paint's retail locations across a wide area network and enable the company to deploy voice, video and POS applications in an effort to control inventory loss and enhance communications among headquarters and the retail stores.
