Equisys, the developer of market leading fax server solutions, today announced the release of Zetafax 7 - the latest version of its award winning network fax server software.
This release continues to build on Zetafax leading position in the SME marketplace and serves to enhance its reputation as a reliable, easy to use and fully featured fax server.
Zetafax 7 provides new levels of integration with Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, support for SMTP mail servers and a number of features aimed at simplifying management and administration processes.

Developed as a direct result of feedback from its customer base and sales channel, Zetafax 7 has been designed to reflect the core requirements of an effective communications solution - increased flexibility, ease of use and manageability.
Microsoft Office integration
To allow for even easier use, Zetafax 7 provides users with "one-click" faxing from Microsoft Office. With the newly created Add-Ins for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Zetafax buttons are automatically installed on all standard toolbars within these applications; ensuring users have quick and easy access to all the powerful functionality that Zetafax provides.
Enhanced e-mail integration
A unique new feature is the ability to monitor the status of all sent faxes directly from within Outlook. The user will be provided with real-time information showing when the fax server is dialling, when the fax server has connected to the remote device and finally giving confirmation that the fax has been sent successfully.
With the inclusion of Outlook forms for both sending and receiving faxes, network administrators are able to deploy a fully featured fax service to all Outlook users without the need for a separate fax client application.
At no additional cost to the user, Zetafax 7 now integrates with all standard SMTP/POP3 e-mail servers such as Eudora WorldMail by Qualcomm and PostOffice by Software.com.
Enhanced management capabilities
As a reflection of the increased popularity of Windows 2000, Zetafax can now be configured via a Snap-In for Microsoft Management Console (MMC) providing network administrators with an identical user interface to the one they use to perform other administrative tasks such as managing databases, printers and user accounts.
In addition, the MMC Snap-In offers a direct link to the Equisys web site for the latest product news and software releases. Context sensitive HTML-based help is available for each of the configuration options.
To give further assistance to network administrators in a large IT environment, a new Remote Management module provides the ability to both remotely monitor and configure the Zetafax server, from any computer on the network. .
Zetafax 7 is available for Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0 (Intel) and Windows 95/98 and can run on all PC networks. It supports most fax modems, active ISDN controllers and Digi, Brooktrout and Dialogic intelligent fax boards that can be employed to reduce fax transmission times.
