IT and business consulting services company Ovations will grow its business through acquisitions.
The Johannesburg-based company recently announced the acquisition of Western Cape-based ICT consulting company Marshall Technologies for an undisclosed amount.
This is the second acquisition Ovations has made following its buyout of enterprise middleware solutions provider CrossStream Systems, also for an undisclosed sum.
Ovations says the latest acquisition fuels its ongoing growth strategy while at the same time enabling Marshall Technologies to offer additional specialist ICT services, from within the Ovations stable of offerings.

As per the terms of the acquisition, Marshall Technologies will be incorporated as part of Ovations. The team members will remain in their existing offices and the management team will retain responsibility for the day-to-day running of the regional team. Furthermore, Ovations will seek to emulate and roll out its specialist brand of business improvement solutions to customers.
Gaier explains that Ovations was established in 1998 with the initial focus on business consulting and workflow solutions.
"The business now offers a wide range of services across multiple disciplines like digital, mobile, business consulting services, enterprise architecture, and service delivery to many of the blue chip organisations in the financial and telco industries," Gaier notes.
"At Marshall, we had reached a growth ceiling, where the logical progression for us was to find a partner to help us to expand and grow the business. The fit between Ovations and ourselves was instant, and I believe we will now be able to tap into the company's extensive expertise, to provide customers in the Cape with a whole new range of value-added ICT solutions," says Paul Bezuidenhout, MD of Marshall Technologies.
