Leading ICT managed services and outsourcing company, Integr8, has been awarded the contract to provide support for the entire Wintel and Linux Server environment for telecommunications giant MTN SA.

Lance Fanaroff, joint CEO of Integr8, said the company's proven track record of renowned skills and service has helped pave the way for Integr8 being awarded this significant, high-level support contract. "Integr8 has successfully fulfilled its role as MTN's interim managed services and solutions provider, and by demonstrating our capabilities, we are very pleased to have been awarded this strategic MTN support contract," says Fanaroff.

As part of this specialised Wintel and Linux server contract, Integr8 will deploy, support, and maintain myriad technology skills sets and competencies, with regards to: infrastructure, security, messaging and collaboration, virtualisation, system management, line of business (Wintel), and line of business (Linux).

These services will include the following specialised areas: Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Security, SCCM, SCOM, Microsoft Identity Management (FIM), VMware, HyperV, Citrix, F5, and Compliancy, among many others.

"MTN's intricate projects call for the most up-to-date skill, experience, technical expertise, as well as extensive knowledge of the environment we operate in. Integr8 has the ability to support our brand in this highly competitive and fast-paced area of high-level managed ICT services and delivery," says Louis Nel, Chief Information Officer at MTN SA.

"Our business model and service delivery offering ensures that we are able to deliver immediate value to the upper mid-corporate and enterprise environments and help our clients maintain their leadership position in competitive markets," adds Fanaroff.

"We believe that Integr8 has the resources, knowledge, agility and speed to continue to support MTN's requirements and look forward to developing this working relationship," continues Nel.

This sentiment is also shared by the MTN account management at Microsoft South Africa.

According to Trusha Vanmali, Microsoft SA: "For the past three years I have been managing the Microsoft Premier agreement for MTN. The major changes I have seen with Interg8 being the provider has been incredibly impactful. Integr8 delivers operations success by using industry accepted frameworks, namely: ITIL and Microsoft Solutions and Microsoft Operations. They contribute meaningfully to meetings and have proactively brought ideas of how to do things better operationally across the operations environment."
