South Africa's dominant end user computing specialist, First Technology, has announced its appointment as an Authorised Apple reseller for South Africa. The company will be selling and supporting Apple's entire offering to enterprises and mid-sized businesses nationally. This appointment will enable Apple to bolster its reach and grow its business in the corporate space, while providing First Technology's customers with access to Apple's range of technology solutions through the most recognised partner in South Africa.
Says Rose Beard, General Manager at First Technology, "We were a good fit due to the breadth of our reach into the South African Corporate market, as well as our extensive footprint of 13 sales and service offices nationally. Furthermore, the official appointment provides the Apple brand with access to over 75 000 First Technology corporate customers, creating the opportunity for them to significantly grow their business in the corporate market."
While the Apple brand is not new to First Technology, the appointment is the next step in the relationship between the two companies which will see a stronger focus on meeting the demands of corporates and mid-sized businesses for Apple solutions. Organisations are increasingly looking towards Apple offering due to their collaborative nature and the ability to create innovative ways of engagement, enhancing, flexibility, productivity and efficiencies.
In order to become an authorised reseller, First Technology has committed to allocating dedicated resources to the brand and has embarked on extensive internal training. These resources include product managers, sales staff as well as support resources for the end user customer, ensuring an end-to-end customer experience with a single company.

The partnership will also enable First Technology to have more consistency of stock availability whilst qualifying for pricing benefits that are passed onto the end user customer.
