HP Inc has appointed Bradley Pulford as vice-president and managing director of HP Africa, effective 1 December.

In a statement, the company says supporting customers and partners across the region, Pulford's responsibilities span country leadership and the profitable growth of HP’s printing, personal systems and services businesses.

Pulford will also lead several ongoing strategic initiatives for HP in Africa, it notes. Among these are advancing the company’s diversity and inclusion vision across the continent, supporting education projects that remove barriers to doing business for young entrepreneurs, and broadly deploying future technologies and innovations, including VR and 3D solutions, HP Inc adds.

He joins from Dell Technologies, where he held several leadership positions, including most recently executive senior director for channel and distribution in Africa, as well as interim marketing lead position for Middle East, Russia, Africa and Turkey.

HP says Pulford brings 25 years’ experience in operations and management within the IT industry.

“We are pleased to welcome Brad to HP. With our innovative technology and strong focus on education and sustainability, we are committed to unlocking Africa’s potential,” said Charl Snyman, vice-president and managing director of Eastern Europe, Middle East and Turkey, Africa, HP Inc.

“Digital transformation has accelerated the need for edge computing; now more than ever, being connected and working seamlessly from a secure and remote perspective is critical. HP’s innovation, channel and customer commitment and solutions make this possible – making the future a better place for all. I’m excited to take on this role,” says Pulford.

“I look forward to joining the HP leadership team and building on the growth of the business in Africa.”
