execMobile announced today it will continue its sponsorship of Team Pyga Eurosteel. Team riders Philip Buys and Matthys Beukes (2017 Cape Epic Africa jersey winners and seventh overall in that year), as well as other team riders Phillimon Sebona and Pieter Du Toit (who rode and won the 2018 Africa jersey with Beukes), will line up on Sunday for the 14th edition of the race.
The Absa Cape Epic attracts elite professional mountain bikers from around the world, who compete in teams of two. To qualify for a finish, teams have to stay together for the duration of the race.
2018 saw the unfortunate substitution of Buys at the last minute, and it was a very difficult decision for the team, as it had been building up and preparing for the race for a very long time.
However, the decision was the correct one and the whole team embraced the changes and made it a very exciting and successful race, again winning the African jersey. This year, Buys and Beukes have been in fantastic form in the build-up to the Epic and are eyeing a spot on the podium.
execMobile's partnership with cycling has been ongoing for many years, initially by assisting Dimension Data with roaming data connectivity at the Tour de France, and more recently, as a sponsor to Team Pyga Eurosteel.
