Sync signs Descente as new client

Laguna Hills, California, 19 Feb 2019

Apparel ERP and PLM software company iSyncSolutions has recently added several new apparel brands to its international client base, including the elite ski apparel brand, Descente.

Descente combines beauty, functionality and technology to create high-end ski apparel that portrays its manufacturing philosophy cultivated by top-level performance and experience. Since its inception in 1977, Descente has remained dedicated to using high-quality materials and pioneering new ski apparel technologies, resulting in garments that are not only fashionable, but exceptionally functional and high performing.

When asked what made the company select Sync as its ERP apparel system, Descente CFO Ryan Wewstenskow said: "We were long overdue to move to a new ERP, but pulled the plug a couple of times in the past, as the software providers we were considering just didn't feel right for our particular business. Sync filled the gaps of what we were ultimately looking for, and we are excited to put it into practice this upcoming season." Westenskow went on to explain that the implementation process was very positive, as Sync was very engaged, and very responsive to their requirements.

"We are very excited to partner with Descente, an iconic leader in high-end performance ski apparel," says iSyncSolutions CEO Peter Booysen. "The implementation has covered the US and Canada companies, which included some technical data replication that has created efficiencies in the style creation process. Our B2B sales module has made a significant improvement in the order creation process, which included beautiful order templates and efficient order entry via our B2B sales portal. We also look forward to seeing improved outbound logistics performance when the first inventory allocations are generated from Sync during the first quarter."

More about Descente

"For racing, by racers" has been Descente's motto since its beginning in 1977. The company earned its name from the unique protective padding found on early Descente jackets and pants that resembled a spider's legs. Since then, the designs on Descente clothing may have changed, but the dedication to using high-quality materials and pioneering new ski apparel technologies has been consistent. The continued success and growth of the brand can be attributed to this level of dedication and attention to detail.
