ZTE introduces integrated IOT solutions

Barcelona, Spain, 05 Mar 2019

ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major global provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the mobile Internet, today introduced new integrated Internet of things (IOT) solutions of IOT, MBB and IOV to provide intelligent solutions across key verticals: person, family, drive.

ZTE also announced the 5G Indoor CPE, which supports the latest WiFi 6 access technology (802.11ax) and provides a 10G Ethernet network port with download rates reaching near 2Gbps.

With 5G on the horizon, it's predicted there will be over 50 billion connected devices around the world by 2020. Large-scale 5G commercialisation will provide faster speeds, low latency and high bandwidth, and with it, the evolution of the IOT.

ZTE is deploying the IOT portfolio for the three vertical categories: person, family, drive. For "person", ZTE is working on trackers designed for vulnerable individuals, such as kids, the elderly or pets, or frequently lost items such as luggage, to give alerts in real-time to protect users from emergency or loss. For "family", ZTE is advancing the 5G CPE, AI speaker, and AI camera, which will enhance home security. ZTE is also prioritising the future of mobility, providing intelligent connected channels that facilitate ADAS products such as Dashcam, e-call and more.

As one of the vendors with comprehensive 5G end-to-end solutions, ZTE has demonstrated strong capabilities and sustainable investment in innovation and key technologies. This proven competency in end-to-end solutions makes ZTE a reliable partner to the IOT industry players. ZTE is excellent in the integrated, customised, diversified and full E2E solutions, has strong capacity and has rich experience in research and development, quality control, globe certification and global supply chain.

In addition to providing a variety of IOT solutions, ZTE is co-ordinating with leading industry partners, Tier 1 carriers and manufacturers worldwide to promote a standardisation process and accelerate development of the IOT. This is particularly essential as a new, intelligent, connected ecosystem is developed in the 5G era.
