eScan, one of the leading anti-virus and content security solution providers, has achieved Virus Bulletin Test Laboratory's prestigious 'VB100' award for its eScan for Linux servers, as well as AV-Comparatives and ICSA Certification for eScan for Windows.
The VB100 test was conducted on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform for its latest version 6.2, while the ICSA Anti-Virus Certification Testing was conducted on Windows 7 32-bit. The AV-Comparative test was conducted on 291388 Sample variants for On-demand Detection of Malicious Software including false alarm tests.
VB100, AV-Comparative and ICSA certifications are among the most widely recognised certifications within the industry that focus on virus detection rates, scanning speeds, as well as looking at how each product fares, when scanning set files that are known to be clean.
With eScan's simple installation process, in addition to Zero False positives, detection scores were good and the RAP sets were particularly well handled. The WildList and clean sets threw up no surprises, and eScan earns VB100, AV-Comparative and ICSA Certifications with excellence.
Mornay Viljoen, Managing Director, eScan, said: “The awards reiterate that eScan security solutions are reliable protection suites that are capable of providing comprehensive protection to the workstations and servers running on Windows as well as Linux, even from Zero-Day threats. This award highlights that eScan's efficient performance goes hand-in-hand with its strong detection rates. Winning reputed certifications like VB1OO, AV-Comparatives and ICSA motivate us to continue our endeavour in innovating world-class information security solutions to provide excellent computing environments to our end-users.”
