Nelson Mandela Day the Netsurit way

Johannesburg, 01 Aug 2019

Nelson Mandela International Day has enjoyed 10 years of global support and solidarity, and once again this year, Netsurit made a huge effort to support those in need. Both its Johannesburg and Cape Town branches collected pre-loved warm clothing and blankets to help this winter.

Netsurit's Johannesburg branch delivered a large amount of pre-loved clothing and blankets to MES Kempton Park. MES Kempton Park provides temporary accommodation, food parcels, a community kitchen, a clothing bank as well as generic outreach and enrichment programmes for the homeless.

The company is very grateful to Chené Emmerick, one of its consultants, and Gaylene Davis, who specially knitted 35 beanies for the donation. Netsurit is extremely grateful for people who use their time to help those in need. They had the following to say: “What a blessing and honour to pay it forward. Giving to keep a few heads warm, warms our hearts."

Netsurit was honoured to make it into the news for its contribution: https://kemptonexpress.co.za/207465/various-companies-assist-mes-on-mandela-day/

The company's Cape Town branch delivered its donations to Souper Troupers – for the homeless, and to the Saartjie Baartman Centre for Woman and Children. The donation of pre-loved warm clothing will be a huge help to the women and children and to the homeless. Netsurit's Cape Town branch – staff, clients and suppliers – together contributed, and collected a huge amount of warm clothing. Netsurit would like to say a very big “thank you” to everyone who donated to support the cause.
