One of the leading Botswana fast moving consumer goods distribution organisations, Safari Distributors, contracted Pretoria-based 4most to supply and implement a P350 000 SAP Business One accounting software solution at its Gaborone headquarters.
The SAP solution replaced a legacy system lacking the functionality to meet the broad needs of Safari Distributors in terms of stock control, sales tracking, sales history, procurement transactions and the integration of inventory systems into the financial accounts.
“The solution delivers the versatility that Safari Distributors needs, including the development and synchronisation of a discount matrix to facilitate multiple discounts into SAP Business One. The system offers a versatile and open-hand approach towards third-party systems,” said Quinn Verburgt of 4most's Botswana branch.
To achieve their business objectives, Safari Distributors required re-order functionality that delivers historical data on the consumption of various products, enabling accurate stock quantity orders to be placed at the right time.
“The major benefits that Safari Distributors is deriving from this solution include the fact that they will have real-time visibility, a single information unit, integrated operational requirements for easier access and decision-making, and a systematic approach to dealing with all of the business processes, including the historical manual data,” said Verburgt.
