Tracer Workflow has Hetzner servers in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Tracer Workflow recently upgraded to an Intel Xeon E5-2620 2.4 GHz, 64GB ECC RAM, 3 x ITB SATA HDD enterprise-class disk, 6TB Traffic, RAID Level 5 server with daily and hourly delta backups.
Hetzner provides a resilient and redundant network infrastructure, which allows for maximum uptime. Its substantial bandwidth capacity allows it to accommodate spikes in traffic, reducing the chance of customers experiencing network degradation. Hetzner supports multiple uplinks per data centre via its upstream providers, EOH Carrier Services and Metrofibre Networx. Should a network failure occur, traffic is automatically rerouted using the alternative uplinks via its Juniper backbone, eliminating any single point of failure on the core network.
Security and monitoring
Tracer's servers in Cape Town and Johannesburg have strict access control security using biometric fingerprint systems.
UPS and generators
An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is installed in each data centre to ensure servers are instantly protected from any power interruptions. A diesel power generator takes over in the case of a power outage.
All data centres are fitted with air conditioning systems designed to provide maximum cooling for the server environment, with an early warning system in case of air conditioner failure or other unusual environmental conditions.
The data centres are monitored by CCTV cameras and each building premises is patrolled by security guards on duty 24/7.
