In an information-driven world, not making use of the data at hand is operational suicide. With a wealth of business insights readily available, it simply doesn't make sense not to capitalise on this data to make better decisions, faster. To achieve this, businesses must learn how to harness the power of data analytics and use it to deliver an abundance of business benefits. This requires bridging the gap between traditional business intelligence (BI) solutions and inadequate spreadsheet applications.

For true success in a modern age, businesses must turn data into insights across operations in a truly agile way. "Are you battling to answer critical questions about your business? Do you spend more time collecting data from disparate sources than analysing it? Are you drowning in reports that take days or weeks to compile? Do you have problems with the quality of the information you use? Are you forced to make decisions with insufficient facts and information?" asks James Hickman, Managing Director of South Africa Qlik Master Reseller (SAQMR), a subsidiary of the EOH Group.

This will be the topic of discussion at the Southern Africa Qlik Summit, hosted by SAQMR and sponsored by B2IT, Decision Inc., Expeditus, Insight Consulting, Inteleqt, KPI Management Solutions, Modernising Management, Synergy, TRG, and Cloudera.

The event, which will be held on 9 July 2018 at the Sandton Convention Centre, will feature keynote speeches and breakaway sessions by various high-profile Qlik representatives and customers, and Dion Chang as a guest speaker. "Chang is an innovator, creator and idea master, and is renowned as one of the country's most respected trend analysts," confirms Hickman.

Singer, songwriter and actor Danny K will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. According to K, the summit will offer the opportunity to participate in the remarkable data journey. "Come and immerse yourselves in the power of analytics, as you learn how to explore deep-rooted information to: discover hidden relationships; answer critical questions about your business; make better, informed decisions; and explore information freely without being confined to a predefined path of questions."

For true success, the key is to explore business data, reveal veiled insights and transform organisations. "Combining real-time data with associative power, an intuitive platform and unlimited analytical power, businesses unleash more power than they could ever imagine possible," concludes Hickman. "By creating an immersive mobile and social, collaborative experience, organisations can achieve simple, limitless business intelligence, empowering them to solve any business question."
