FlowCentric Technologies, developer and international distributor of business process management software and solutions, announces the promotion of Odette Pieters to Chief Operating Officer. In this position, Pieters will oversee  the company’s business operations, with a continued focus on business development and commercial operations.

Pieters joined the company in 2008 as Services Director. She spent the next decade building and managing the company’s professional services team, engaging with enterprise customers throughout Africa and the Middle East, and growing the company’s margins.

During this time, Pieters and her team took numerous customer projects from inception to success. The diverse nature of the company’s clientele afforded her the opportunity to gain invaluable insights into the operations and business challenges faced by various industries. This far-ranging knowledge equipped her to offer customers practical guidance on how to create effective solutions for their unique challenges.

With first-hand experience regarding the challenges facing any organisation that is seeking IT talent, Pieters was determined to offer the market a more personalised, flexible alternative. This goal led to Pieters co-founding the talent acquisition and services-based company, FlowCentric Resourcing, in 2017. The company provides both talent acquisition and implementation services, striving to connect compatible clients, candidates and teams across industries.

“The ethos we established in FlowCentric Technologies has definitely been carried over to FlowCentric Resourcing,” states Pieters. She goes on to clarify that both organisations engage their respective clients with the objective of building lasting, mutually beneficial business partnerships.

This culture is one that Pieters nurtured when, in 2018, she transitioned into the role of FlowCentric Technologies Sales Director, where she further grew the company’s client-base and scope of operations.

Accomplished in method development, business process, sales, customer relationship management (CRM) and IT strategies, Pieters holds an MPhil IT focused on strategy, law and systems from the University of Johannesburg, and a B Art et Scien (Professional Planner) from Potchefstroom University.

Pieters will play a key role in maintaining and growing FlowCentric Technologies’ operational excellence, as the company rapidly expands its footprint to serve more regions and industries. Her new role comes as no surprise to those who know her, as she has never shied away from taking on large or complex projects.

“I am both proud and humbled by this opportunity and look forward to continue executing on our vision, while supporting the company’s growing community of clients and partners,” Pieters stated.

“Odette’s breadth of experience and strong track record give the FlowCentric Technologies Board of Directors and me great confidence that she will help us deliver a strong performance in this fast-changing environment,” says FlowCentric Technologies CEO, Jacques Wessels.

“She has been an invaluable strategic partner to me and our global leadership team as we have navigated through some of the most pivotal milestones in our history,” continues Wessels. He concluded by stating that he is looking forward to seeing Pieters achieve even greater heights in her new role as COO.
