The purpose of POPIA is to ensure that anyone who processes personal information in South Africa and all South African institutions conduct themselves in a responsible manner when collecting, processing, storing and sharing their personal information.
This document is intended to be read and used by governance, risk and compliance audiences, together with IT professionals, to help define the appropriate policies and technology decisions to conform.
