Last call to complete channel survey and stand a chance to win a Dell Inspiron

Where is the South African channel when it comes to digital transformation? How  the major channel players planning on finding new business? And who's worked out how to monetise cloud?

These are some of the questions we are looking to answer via our second channel survey, and we need your input.

Run by ITWeb and The Margin magazine, in association with Axiz, Dell Technologies and Microsoft, this is the only survey focusing on the particular challenges facing the local ICT channel.

The results are published is an exclusive research report that tracks how the channel is adapting to shifting market conditions and emerging technology trends.

One of the key findings of last year's survey was that the local channel was starting to shift its focus to the cloud. Half the respondents said they had 'to some extent' made the shift from once-off purchase revenue models to a recurring income stream, while 26% had not made any move into this area.

Asked whether the SA channel was doing enough to meet B-BBEE standards and transform itself, a third said they were doing their bit, while another third said it was a broader issue than the channel could deal with on its own.

The key findings of the 2019 survey will be revealed at a prestigious black-tie event on 19 September, and one lucky respondent will walk away with a Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 laptop.
