Netgear implements VPN

Netgear secured a 270 000-Qatari-riyal contract to implement a virtual private network (VPN) solution that will link the Zakat Fund headquarters to its 10 branch offices all over Qatar, states Al Bawaba.

Using VPN firewall routers FV538 and DGFV338, Netgear will implement the VPN solution using ADSL Internet services, eliminating the need for a costly dedicated link or static IP from the ISP.

The solution will further enhance the communication and networking connectivity between various Zakat Fund offices, the company said.
