Solit appointed Microsoft Gold Certified Partner
South African e-business and enterprise software developer Solit has been named a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for e-commerce solutions in recognition of its competence in the latest Microsoft e-commerce technologies.
The Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Programme provides a way for customers to identify companies that have proven commitment to and expertise in delivering Microsoft technologies. Microsoft Certified Partners need to meet a high set of criteria for each category, including enhanced certification and a portfolio of real world customer references. They are recognised as the most skilled partners in specific solution areas.
"E-commerce solutions are critical to business success," says Rosa Garcia, GM, Partner Programmes Group at Microsoft Corporation. "These solutions need to be reliable yet deployed very quickly. Microsoft recognises that companies don't want a technology partner that needs to learn on the job - they require a partner with experience.
"Solit has proven its mettle with a number of successful e-commerce deployments. Being a member of the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Programme makes it clear that Solit has the skills and experience to provide high-quality e-commerce solutions based on Microsoft technology."
Solit's Microsoft expertise is ably demonstrated by Tilos, the company's locally developed suite of collaborative applications that can be combined to provide a total e-business solution.
Built on Microsoft technology, Tilos has already cracked world markets in the Middle East and Europe. The product suite enables companies to consolidate, manage, analyse and process information across and outside of the enterprise, allowing for the development of completely Web-enabled business solutions.
"The endorsement from Microsoft highlights Solit's capability in delivering e-commerce solutions," says Louis Nortje, Solit MD. "It demonstrates that we have solid experience in delivering high-volume solutions for big corporates that process a large volume of transactions.
"The fact that we are one of only six Microsoft Gold Certified partners for e-commerce in the country shows that we have proficiency from a technical, project management, business analysis and delivery cycle point of view. It also facilitates international marketing of Solit solutions."
Solit, a privately owned e-business and enterprise software developer, has official representation in France, the UK, Netherlands, SA and Dubai. Existing customers include international companies like Rockwood Pigments, MacFarlan Smith and Kappa Container Board, and Gold Fields, the First Rand Group, Denel Personnel Solutions, Naspers Group, and Bank Windhoek.
