The General Services Administration announced its agreement with Veritas Technologies to provide Federal government buyers with accessible data management software solutions. The agreement is over one year in the making, a collaboration between GSA and Veritas, negotiated in accord with the IT Schedule 70 Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act Enhancement Program.
Veritas understands the distinct interests and needs of government agencies, and this new agreement with GSA provides government buyers with negotiated pricing and easy access to Veritas software to improve their data management and protection, while helping reach their goals for FITARA implementation.
With Veritas solutions, Federal agencies will be able to migrate, protect, and move data and workloads no matter where they reside, even across multiple clouds. Providing public sector customers the ability to readily visualise and understand their data is key to supporting their IT modernisation efforts in pursuit of true digital transformation.
Referring to the GSA announcement, Veritas Senior Vice-President of Americas Sales, Michael Cremen, shared: "It is this sort of attentive, knowledge-driven approach to partnership that distinguishes Veritas. This effort goes beyond our support of government customers, too; it's evident in the company's approach to solutions partnerships across the US."
