Indian-based security vendor, Cyberoam, has appointed former IndIT product specialist, Lynton Lubbe as channel manager for SA.

Cyberoam has been in SA for more than four years. The vendor says rising demand for its unified threat management products in SA motivated it to strengthen its local presence in the region through this appointment.

According to the company, direct presence in the region means it can provide fast technical and sales support to channel partners and customers. Lubbe will be responsible for the entire business operations in SA and will work with channel partners and support them at each stage of the sales cycle.

“We will focus on the small and medium enterprise market, and over time, we will look at targeting larger corporates,” he says, adding that he is excited about his new role and aims to drive more business for Cyberoam.

He adds: “Cyberoam has reached a lot of success in SA, particularly in the education market, and now we are looking at providing security products to government agencies and bigger corporates.”
