SA's third biggest mobile operator Cell C has suffered an outage, leaving users without voice and data services.
It's unclear which areas have been affected but in a tweet this morning, the telco said: "Cell C is aware of a problem at one of our data centres that is affecting the voice and data services of customers. Technicians are working on a resolution to the problem. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and will continue to provide updates on the situation."
However, Cell C customers were not amused. One customer tweeted: "You should always have a back up plan. This is very sad and inconvenient for some of us who need to use the phone for business purposes."
Another also tweeted: "How can it just be one place when the entire country is down? Seriously? Do we look that stupid? This has been going on since Thursday and you did nothing to prevent total blackout!"
