HP acquires Exstream

HP has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Exstream Software, a privately-held provider of enterprise software that streamlines the creation and delivery of personalised documents and other communications materials, says HULIQ.

Exstream's technology, when combined with HP's presence in document output management and printing market leadership, helps businesses design, manage and publish structured and unstructured content in a fully personalised manner via print and online.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

HP appoints Lucas

HP has named Shane Lucas as its new Imaging and Printing Group VP and GM for South Pacific, effectively immediately, reports ARNnet.

He takes over from Christoph Schell, who left to head up the vendor's Asia-Pacific IPG and consumer go-to-market divisions last month.

Lucas has been with HP since 2001 in various roles, including enterprise, commercial and graphics.

Delacy visits Middle East

Bill Delacy, senior VP of HP's Imaging and Printing Group, EMEA, recently visited the Middle East as part of HP's ongoing commitment to the region, states My Solution Info.

Delacy outlined HP's Print 2.0 strategy and met with employees, key customers, HP partners and media.

The tour was on the back of HP's recent introduction of a breakthrough printing technology, new Web-based printing services, an expanded portfolio of imaging and printing products, and also a host of alliances and relationships that serve the growing markets outlined in the company's Print 2.0 strategy.
