Last night COMDEX SA`s Exhibitor Award function saw a number of exhibitors receiving stand awards for the creative, visual and innovative stands at the first ever COMDEX in southern Africa.
Judged by EXSA, stands are evaluated according to the following criteria: Design Impact, Quality of Finish of Stand, Lighting and Special Effects, Branding and Product Information, Demos, Animations and Presentations, Presentation of Products, General Layout and Accessibility, Personnel and Housekeeping.
The high quality of stands at COMDEX SA 2000 saw 13 awards being handed out. These included silver for: Datasoft, Securedata, Digitec and MGE-UPS Systems SA in the small stand category. Silver for ACCPAC Africa, Mercury Interactive, Infosat and Telkom in the medium stand category and silver for SAP SA, MB Worksoft, Storage and JD Edwards in the large stand category.
Storgate also took gold for overall winner status with Best Stand at COMDEX SA 2000.
