E-billing for legal firms

CT TyMetrix, a Web-based law department management services provider, has completed the launch of its product, CT TyMetrix 360, for its clients in the UK, says CBR Online.

The product provides law firms with an e-solution that helps them manage their matters, finances and performance.

Implemented in June 2007 in the UK, the product is claimed to be the first legal e-billing provider with a fully functional service.

No more paper tickets

Sixty-three percent think the days of paper airline tickets are numbered, while a significant 85% are frustrated at the way taxes and airline charges are added during an online booking, reports Silicone Republic.

These findings emerged from the Nationwide Travel Survey commissioned in late 2007 by e-bookers, to find out how the Irish plan and book holidays online.

Mark Henry of Tourism Ireland said: "No industry has been changed more fundamentally by the Internet than travel and tourism. All our research shows the Internet is now the number one source that overseas holidaymakers use to plan their holidays."

GSI to acquire e-Dialog

E-commerce and multi-channel solutions provider, GSI Commerce, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire e-Dialog, a provider of e-mail marketing services and solutions, says CNN Money.

The acquisition will significantly expand the breadth and depth of GSI's interactive marketing services capabilities, its reach into existing and new vertical markets, and its growing European presence.

"After a broad evaluation of the industry, we found e-Dialog to have the strongest services capabilities and most sophisticated technology," said Michael Rubin, chairman and CEO of GSI Commerce.
