Digital marketing agency Quirk has promoted former Internet Solutions executive Justin Spratt to CEO. Spratt joined the agency six months ago as managing partner.

He will take over from founding CEO Rob Stokes, as Stokes moves to take the position of CEO of the Group Holding Company, which includes oversight of the Quirk agencies in Cape Town, Johannesburg and London, as well as several other Quirk businesses, including BrandsEye and IdeaBounty.

Stokes says he will spend an increasing amount of time working on strategy and key client engagements alongside Group Holding Company chairman Mark Sherrington.

It is expected that Stokes will spend more time abroad focusing on the group's international expansion on the back of growing interest in Quirk's London business. Stokes has also prioritised extending the group's education and consulting arms.

Additional executive changes within Quirk include the appointment of Nic Ray to a role as chairman of the Quirk Agency Group, and Andrew Allison has been brought in as CFO of the group.

Spratt previously ran the VOIP, mobile and WiFi business at Internet Solutions, and prior to that, worked for investment bank Morgan Stanley on the credit derivatives trading desk.
