Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) recently unveiled a series of enhancements to the Hitachi TrueNorth Partner Program.

The improved programme for 2013 focuses on specialisation, education, incentives and support designed to help accelerate HDS partners' revenue and profit.

"We are creating unique opportunities for partners to grow their businesses by addressing complex business challenges that customers face," said Jack Domme, CEO of HDS.

According to the company, theTrueNorth Services Specialisation programme provides partners around the globe with real-time access to the same tools, associated manuals and implementation materials as HDS employees, under a single-access framework.

"HDS partners are a strategic and critical component of our ability to help customers increase efficiency and flexibility in their IT infrastructures," said Mike Walkey, senior VP, global partners and alliances, at HDS.

"These enhancements usher in the next generation of our partner programme and affirm our commitment to continuing to invest and improve the way we team with our partners," he adds.

HDS recently appointed Vic Booysen as channel director for sub-Saharan Africa and SA to establish and grow a channel organisation in this territory.

With the recent acquisition of Shoden Data Systems, HDS is fully represented in this territory and will drive market share acquisition and growth in all segments of the market.

According to Booysen, HDS will seek aggressive growth in this region through an enabled set of select partners that can add strategic value to the HDS business.

"With the support of the TrueNorth Partner Program, the channel strategy of HDS in this region, and the industry-leading solutions from HDS, the time is ripe to partner with HDS," Booysen concludes.
